2025 Season closing BBQ

The 2025 season came to a close in true MOP Cricket style — on the field, around the table, and together as one club.

The day started with cricket, as our youth players and parents shared the field for a friendly match on the hockey pitches. Laughter, encouragement, and plenty of enthusiasm filled the afternoon, reminding everyone that cricket at MOP is about learning, fun, and community as much as competition.

As the sun began to set, attention shifted to the clubhouse, where the smell of food and the sound of conversation took over. Our end-of-season BBQ was a real highlight. Almost everyone brought a homemade dish, turning the evening into a shared celebration of cultures, flavours, and friendships. From the grill to the tables, it was clear that MOP is built on people who love being together.

With plates full and drinks raised, speeches followed — moments of reflection, gratitude, and pride. The season brought many positives, including the fantastic achievement of MOP 1 earning promotion to the 3rd Klasse for the 2026 season, a milestone worth celebrating.

Honouring Our 2025 Award Winners

The evening also gave us the chance to recognise those who stood out this season:

🏆 De Mauritz Houben Award – Best Youth Player won by Stef : A great example of dedication, growth, and passion for the game.

🏆 De Birbal Cup – Best Player of the Season won by Karthik : Rewarded for an outstanding season and consistent performances.

🏆 De Ir. E. Voller Cup – Contribution of the Season won by Vinod Gopani : For exceptional commitment and contribution to the club, both on and off the field.

Each applause, smile, and handshake captured in these photos reflects what MOP Cricket is all about — togetherness, respect, and love for the game.

As we close the chapter on 2025 and look ahead to 2026, one thing is certain:MOP Cricket continues to grow because of its people.

Once MOP, always MOP 💚❤️
